Glass Plaques

You received a glass plaque from us when your building project achieved LEED® Certification. Supplemental signage for other parts of your building and offices is now available. We offer 8"-diameter glass plaques for residential projects and 16" for commercial projects in three distinct options: the standard clear glass; back-painted glass (especially useful for hanging your plaque against brick or other patterned wall surfaces); and, a totally customized back-printed version, in which we permanently seal an image of your LEED-certified project onto the back of the glass plaque.

The glass used in our plaques is 90% reclaimed material; we use left over pieces of glass, which already contain 40% recycled material, that have been cut out from larger sheets for other uses and would have otherwise been discarded. Sandblasting—our technique for "engraving" the national building council insignia and year of your project's certification—is a clean and safe process, re-using sand over and over again, without any pollution of air and water performed in sealed cabinets.

Clear

The 16” Sand Blasted clear glass plaque is the standard item you receive from USGBC once your building is certified, and you can order more of these same plaques for other areas of your building. They feature beautiful depth and shadow due to the sand blasting process and are the base for our Back Painted and Back Printed plaques.

We offer these plaques in 8” and 5” diameters as well. You can order the 5” plaques front sand blasted to be used as a plaque with our 5” stand OR reverse sand blasted to be used as a paper weight with a smooth top surface.

Back Painted

A glass display with a painted, opaque back so it can be mounted on brick, concrete and other walls with patterns or heavy texture.

Available in 8", 16" diameter and custom sizes and in the following colors:

Back Printed

A glass display that can be screen printed with an image of your choosing on the back, making the display both opaque and unique to your project.

Available in 8", 16" diameter and custom sizes.

Bio Glass

This beautifully layered material is made out of compacted, recycled glass bottles.

Laser Etched

These handheld plaques can optionally be laser etched on the back for display on a table, or on the front for mounting on a wall. Perfect as gifts to those who helped make your LEED Certified project possible. Could be used in our Door Handle Plaque Holders and Plaque Stand.
